Day 2
Saqqara Necropolis, Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx
Have breakfast and explore the vast necropolis of Saqqara, containing tombs. The Step Pyramid of Zoser is the most conspicuous landmark of the necropolis. (Optional lunch during tours.)
Visit the three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Transfer to your hotel for the night’s stay.
Day 3
Fly to Aswan and Visit the High Dam and Philae Temple
Have breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport to fly to Aswan.
Arrive in Aswan and visit the High Dam and Philae Temple.
Overnight in Aswan with the opportunity to disembark. Enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and an evening disco party on board.
Day4
Sail to Kom Ombo and Edfu
Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Kom Ombo Temple, the only double temple in Egypt, shared by the crocodile-headed god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Haroeris.
Navigate to Edfu and overnight in Edfu.
Day 5
Edfu Temple, Luxor Temple and Karnak
Visit Edfu Temple, the most well-preserved temple in Egypt, dedicated to the Falcon God Horus.
See the fabulous Luxor Temple and the enormous Temple Complex of Karnak. Among its splendours is the Hypostyle Hall, the largest of any temple in the world, covering an area of 5,356 sq. meters, with its roof blocks supported by 134 colossal columns 70 feet high. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 6
Luxor West Bank, Valley of the Kings and Return to Cairo
Depart with your guide to cross to the West Bank of Luxor, where the glorious and fascinating Necropolis of Thebes is located. By no means could this necropolis be covered in one day.
Head to the Valley of the Kings, which contains the tombs of the kings, and to El Deir El Bahari of Hatshepsut, the woman who ruled the country for more than 15 years. There, you will see the story of her sacred birth from the sun god Ra inscribed on the walls of the temple.

Transfer to Luxor to catch your flight to Cairo.

Day7
Alexandria Day Trip from Cairo
Have breakfast around 7 a.m., travel to Alexandria via the desert road, and spend the day breathing in the Mediterranean Sea breeze.
Arrive in Alexandria and visit the Catacomb of Kom-el-Shoqafa. These tombs were tunnelled into the bedrock in the age of the Antonine emperors (2nd century A.D.) for a single wealthy family still practising the ancient religion. These tombs represent the last existing major construction for the sake of the old Egyptian religion. Then visit the Citadel of Qaitbay. (Optional lunch at a lovely sea-view restaurant.)
Visit Pompey’s Pillar, built in 297 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The pillar is 9 meters/29 feet in circumference, and it is said that 22 people could lunch on the capital, or flat top, of the pillar.
Drive back to Cairo and transfer to your hotel.
Day 8
Egyptian Museum, Mohammed Ali Citadel and Hanging Church
Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, housing over 250,000 objects of art dating back as far as 5,000 years. The most important display is the Tutankhamun collection of treasures. (Optional lunch during tours.)
Head to the Mohammed Ali Citadel, erected in 1183 A.D. The Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali Citadel is one of the landmarks of Cairo, whose minaret can be spotted from any part of the city.
See the Hanging Church and return to your hotel for the night’s stay.Day 9
Departure from Cairo Have breakfast and transfer to Cairo International Airport to take your flight for final departure.
