day 5
Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
Have breakfast and visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, dedicated to the Lord of the Sky. Its Ptolemaic architecture is preserved so exceptionally that it clearly demonstrates its marvellous design.
Sail to Kom Ombo, dominating a curve of the Nile. This Ptolemaic temple strikes the imagination with its romantic setting. It is astonishing because it later became a double temple: Haroeris with the head of a falcon and Sobek with the head of a crocodile. The famous mummified crocodile of Kom Ombo is a sight not to be missed.
Head to Aswan for a galabya party and overnight stay.
